Couch to 5k - it begins!

After not being able to do much of anything for the last few months until the doctor clearer me after surgery, I've fallen out of the shape I was getting into with my new year resolutions. Pre surgery I was running 3 miles every other day. Post surgery I've just started the Couch to 5k program, not only because I'm lazy, but because I am still under medical care for some new issues that sprung up post surgery and I want to take it slow. I don't want to push myself too hard, jumping back into any lengthy amount of running, or any heavy workout, until my body is ready for it.

Having your appendix out isn't a major surgery by any right, and for the most part mine was pretty routine (minus being in the wrong spot). It did however have an eye-opening experience for me.

I am not where I wanted to be at this point in my life. I do however know that I want to get where I want to be. I have not been idle the last few months, I've been by all accounts quite cold and calculating. I've been evaluating my life and figuring out where to go from here. I've got a journey to go on and I will make it to the end.  Besides I started the Couch to 5k. I've got it made. Day 1 down and only 7 weeks, 2 days left.

I will get back on top, I always do.

i promise i'm not dead

I apologize for leaving this place to rot in the un-used blog sphere. appendix surgery straight up kicked my ass. It put me behind in work, in life, in money needs. It rocked me to a bad place and I've spent the last two months pulling myself back together through so many doctors appointments and being so behind in work.

I've also ignored my personal email for the last 2 months so if you've been trying to get in touch with me I'm sorry! I am however slowly working my way through 2 months worth of email so I will get back to you. Andrea, if you are ready I'm sorry! I'll reach out to you soon.

I think spring has finally sprung here in Upstate New York. I've taken she who is a pain in my butt out doors today and snapped a few pictures while she roamed on her lead. It was either take her outside or listen to her cry at the door all day.

Isn't she a pretty little thing!

I've got some stuff to talk about over the next few weeks, all kinds of plans and projects I've put together despite being a sick puppy. If anyone is still reading, thanks for sticking with me! I appreciate it!
